With all the states trying to get more youths involved in the outdoors, They are trying many ways to introduce these youngster and our future of the sport. Some states have an early 2 day youth hunt , like here in Michigan, others have youth days only.
Here in Michigan the state owned manage areas have youth days during the season. You can only get in the draws there, only if you have youths with you. I read an article in the new D.U. magizine written by Wade Bourne called Introducing Kid to Waterfowl Hunting. This article caught my eye, there are many hunters that want to help youths out and have youth only waterfowl hunt days, but don't know where to start. With some of the info that Wade stated and ideas from a mentor that has a lot of experience in this field like me this should clarify a lot of how to questions.
